Send a link to any Catalog score from the Share button in the score toolbar, or by touching and holding the score in your Library. The link opens the score in eSuite.

Share scores

Send a link to any Catalog score from the Share button in the score toolbar, or by touching and holding the score in your Library. The link opens the score in eSuite.

One card per piece

Pieces the Catalog has in more than one edition now appear once, with the number of editions shown. Open the piece to compare its editions and pick the one you want.

More free scores

In the US, the Catalog now also shows free scores from other music libraries.

A simpler score page

Catalog score pages now focus on the music: the title, composer, instrument and a short description, with the Preview and Get buttons up top. The source and license details are one tap away under Details.

Faster Quick Play

For eSuite+ subscribers on Wi-Fi, eSuite now gets a score ready while you're reading its page, so tapping Preview opens it right away.

Improvements and fixes

You can draw annotations with your finger on iPad again.

Scores whose pages are rotated in the PDF now open the right way up, and rotating them in Edit Pages turns the whole page.

Sharing a PDF into eSuite from another app now opens the score, instead of leaving you on your Library.

Shuffle in the Catalog keeps your instrument filter.

Annotations shared with you now show which score they belong to and who shared them.

Tapping x on a tip now closes it.

New users see the welcome score as soon as setup finishes, instead of an empty library first.

Uploaded scores whose iCloud copy went missing are now backed up again automatically.

General stability and performance improvements.

eSuite+ subscribers can now play any Catalog score as soon as they find it. Tap Preview and the score opens in the full eSuite reader, without being added to your library first. Play through it, decide if you like it, and tap Get to add it. Tap Back and you're on the score's page again with nothing added.

App Store release notes, as published at the time

Play Catalog scores right away

eSuite+ subscribers can now play any Catalog score as soon as they find it. Tap Preview and the score opens in the full eSuite reader, without being added to your library first. Play through it, decide if you like it, and tap Get to add it. Tap Back and you're on the score's page again with nothing added.

Get becomes Open

If a Catalog score is already in your library, its Get button now says Open everywhere: on the score page, in Preview, in search results and in the long-press menu. Tap it to go straight to your copy instead of downloading it again. Open still works if your subscription has lapsed, because scores you've added stay yours.

Save a copy of openly licensed editions

Some Catalog editions are published under Creative Commons licenses that let you keep and share the file. Those editions now show a "Save a Copy (PDF)" option under Source & Rights. It saves the original PDF exactly as published, with its license notices included.

Simpler wording

The add button on Catalog scores now says "Get" for everyone, and it's the same word on the score page and in the reader.

Improvements and fixes

If you play a score and then add it, the score page now says Open when you return, not a leftover "Added."

General stability and performance improvements.

Shuffle

Tap the new Shuffle button on any Catalog category or composer page to view a new sample of scores from the whole collection. It's a quick way to explore Piano, Baroque, Beethoven and more without scrolling through every page.

Catalog Updates

Clearer, tidier titles for nearly 2,000 scores.

Improvements and Fixes

Opening a link to a shared score now takes you straight to that score, even if eSuite wasn't already running.

Fixed an "Update Your Other Devices" message that could appear on new installs and couldn't be dismissed.

Catalog preview pages scroll more smoothly.

Behind-the-scenes upgrades to the services that power eSuite.

We rebuilt eSuite from the ground up. It's faster, simpler, and easier to use than ever.

App Store release notes, as published at the time

We rebuilt eSuite from the ground up. It's faster, simpler, and easier to use than ever.

What's new in this version:

Collections — Tags and Setlists are now one idea. Group your scores however you like, then play straight through a Collection in order. Same power, less to think about.

A new page scrubber — Drag along the bottom of any score to fly through pages, with thumbnail previews as you go and dots that mark your bookmarks.

Pinch to zoom — Zoom in on any score for a closer look at the fine print.

Discover — The Help tab is now Discover: clear, visual guides with short demo videos to help you get the most out of eSuite.

Refreshed icons — A cleaner, more consistent look across the whole app.

Plus countless speed and reliability improvements throughout.

Added later: With this release, we changed eSuite's version numbers to align with the iOS convention, which is why the number goes from 3.5.1 to 26.0.

This update focuses on visual polish and streamlining your workflow, making it easier than ever to manage your library and setlists.

Refined Interface & Navigation

Seamless Title Editing: You can now rename setlists directly from the list header—just tap the title or hit the pencil icon to edit in place.

Redesigned Toolbars: Primary actions like Import, Play, and Done now feature a distinct filled style, making them easier to spot.

Visual Polish: The Setlist view now features a dedicated Pencil icon for editing, and song tags have been restyled to blend seamlessly with your metadata.

Typography Updates: Song lists now feature improved text contrast, ensuring titles and composer names are always legible in Light and Dark modes.

Improved Setlist Workflow

Faster "Add to Setlist": You can now add songs to multiple setlists in one go! The popup stays open until you're done, and blue checkmarks appear instantly to confirm your selection.

Better Creation: Creating a new setlist is now smoother with a dedicated, focused sheet layout.

Selection Mode: The multi-select toolbar has been updated with inline labels and grouped controls, including a distinct red icon for deleting items.

Documentation

New Help Guide: A completely rewritten Help section covers everything from importing files to advanced library organization and reading mode shortcuts.

Under the Hood

Fixed layout issues on iPad where toolbar buttons would accidentally merge.

Performance improvements for large libraries.
